/Shot. But seriously, In regards to taking advantage of the fourth-walling and universe confusion, I'm in the same boat as Amber. I've only read volume four of The Invincible Iron Man and I'm gearing up for the Civil War (also lurking around Midtown Comics for Demon in a Bottle and other volumes of interest), but hopefully over time I'll be more up to speed in what's going on. And I'm always open for discussion.

I'm really open for the universal shenanigans and 4th walling. Frankly, Fury's going to assume that everything he's been told about his life is just really good intel, and that someone is yanking his chain pretty hard. His canon point is such that people who hate him do have access to pretty much everything they'd need to screw with him on that level, so. Yeah. It's gonna take a bit of time for him to accept reality as it is for him now.

Also, if you're in the city, try checking out Jim Hanley's Universe or Time Machine on 14th. In my experience, both have a little better selection in older TBPs and can order things for you if necessary. Which isn't to say I'm enough of a nerd to have had both shops do this on occasion. Or anything. <.

Pretty much. Tony had his own theories (mainly that he was picked up by aliens after losing consciousness and they were using advanced technology to simulate reality for whatever personal gain they would have from doing so), but at this exact moment, I see him exponentially caring less about why they're there and focusing more about solving the problem in time for Letterman.

But I've never heard of either one of those places. This makes me so happy: I didn't really want to resort to ordering it online because I'm a weirdo that likes smelling paper in the air and looking around an actual store. The next chance I get, I'm hitting both those up. Thanks for the info!

Ritualistically watching Letterman is obviously the top priority, regardless of what those pamphlets say. Pretty sure the various theories on why everyone's here/if they're really fictional would be pretty entertaining to read, actually.

Time Machine in particular is kind of amazing. They're like, completely tiny and don't do regular weekly comics? They only deal in back issues, old graphic novels and like... Collectors items like old magazines and TV guides from like 1982. It's really kind of a fascinating shop. Jim Hanley's is more like your standard comic shop, they just happen to be really good at stocking old or really prolific arcs for each character/family of characters. Not too long ago, I found an out of print Dr. Strange thing there that I'd been searching for for years. At like, gone to conventions looking for? Yeah, I was pretty impressed.

Feel free to pester me about comics! I love recommending stuff for characters, whenever people are interested and I happen to know a good run/series. And the movies are both way similar to and way different from the movies. Derping around with multiverse shenanigans will be part of the fun.

oh gosh hello! I'm Amber, I'm playing Arthur Pendragon and Natasha Romanoff.

I'm playing MCU Natasha, though I have some familiarity with 616 canon so I use that general backstory as headcanon (trained Russian superspy from the Widow program who ran long enough from the Russians who wanted her dead or under their control that she eventually joined SHIELD.) when it comes to canon connections I tend to stick with movie canon, and there are obviously big differences to Fury there, so just let me know if there's any particular way you'd like to handle that! obviously since they're "fictional" they're just from different mediums, so we can just run with the 4th wall discrepancies being a thing in-game?

That sounds good to me! Costumes aside, movie Natasha looks pretty darn similar to 616 Natasha, so I'd love it if there could be some mistaken identity on Nick's part, at least at first. And, of course, if that's cool with you? Either way, I'm sure the universal differences will offer ample opportunity for shenanigans.
